I am a french developer, living in Paris. I started my active life being a 'bioinformatician', making softwares for genetic research. This is where I learned how to deal with databases, statistics, huge amount of data , ...
I have a lot of hobbies. One of them is underwater photography in french caves (if you are curious you can see the results of my experiments here). Of course, internet and more precisely network programming is another hobby. In fact, one day, reading about peer to peer, I wanted to find statistics about files shared on those networks. Which ones were the most downloaded ? To which extend ? As I could not find the answer on the net, I started programming. Once I had the first data available in my database, I decided to build this site. I start with emule network because imho, it is the most interesting network to study. I will try to include other networks in the future. For those of you who are curious, everything is made with free software, linux, mysql, gnu c++, perl, ...
I hope you will like it as much as I like building it. I would be very happy if you send me a mail suggesting improvements, or just to say hello.
Have fun,
Sebasto.
